this versatile equipment can be made of wood or aluminum.The choice is above all a matter of aesthetics and harmony with your current habitat.According to a simulation carried out with a professional, a carport or a pergola of 5.20 x 3.50 m will provide a power of 3 kWp and it can be estimated that the saving on the electricity bill will be 650 euros per year.Over 25 years, taking into account an annual increase of 3% in supplier prices, the saving will be 18,800 euros.We can however think that it will be higher than that because of the increase which, too, will be more consequent.The more expensive the electricity, the more you will save.These 18,800 euros also include income from the resale of surplus production to EDF.If we consider that a solar carport costs, assembly and administrative procedures included, nearly 18,000 euros, we can say that the game is not worth the candle.Except that the State grants a premium for self-consumption of 1,140 euros, paid in 5 installments of 228 euros, and this makes it possible to limit investment over time.As for local aid, it is quite illusory, but in the project that concerns us here, the different layers of our mille-feuille will be called upon.Another way to increase the profitability of self-consumption solar installation is to change your habits.Instead of doing it at night, it can be very interesting to schedule the start-up of household appliances and your water heater during peak production of your panels.If possible, you can do the same for your vehicles and devices equipped with electrical storage (car, bicycle, telephone, tablet, etc.).Finally, it is essential to note that the carport, or the solar pergola, combines two uses and this therefore makes it possible to optimize the investment.Photovoltaic panels on the roof for a power of 3 kWp cost 10,000 on average, according to Ademe, the Environment Agency.A 20 square meter aluminum pergola also costs at least 10,000 euros.The two combined projects therefore represent an investment of 20,000 euros, compared to 18,000 euros for the solar pergola.So you make a (small) saving, but above all you make a gesture for the
