PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) -- A son made a terrifying discovery when he came home and found his parents dead in west Phoenix early Thursday morning, police said. It happened just before 4 a.m. near 71st and Virginia avenues, just south of Thomas Road.
The adult son called 911, saying he had returned home and found his parents, a man and woman, dead. Their bodies were found on the driveway under a carport. Video from the scene Thursday morning showed heavy police presence and crime scene tape outside the home. Police have identified them as Gabriel Aguilar, 43, and Martha Valdez Salomon, 45.
Police say they didn’t find any kind of suspicious evidence and that there were no signs of trauma on the bodies. The Office of the Medical Examiner will work to determine how they died.
