NFC tag encoding is the process of configuring a blank NFC tag with project specific information by modifying the NFC chip. NFC tags comes from the manufacturer in a blank state as defined by the technical specification for that NFC chip type. To encode an NFC tag, specialized software and hardware is required. NFC tags can be encoded by GoToTags as a service when buying NFC tags or can be encoded later by the customer.
